Newman's Leather Neutral Masks are
based on the Sartori masks commissioned by the late Jaque le
Coq for training of the physical expression of the actor. Newman
has taken the basic concept of the masks of his mentor and worked
for the last eleven years to refine them. The masks come in
large and small Eurocentric and also large and small Afrocentric
(photos coming soon, available via email upon request). The
masks are lightweight, breathable and most importantly durable;
making them the preferred "tools of the trade".
They are priced at US$175.00 but
also available in wood for US$75.00 (again, photos
available on request). Newmans' Neutral masks are used in training
programs worldwide and are becoming the affordable standard
for the business of training in Physical Theatre.
